Layered Biomimetic Composites from MXenes with Sequential Bridging

چکیده
Layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly is a widely used technique for the self-assembly of layered nanocomposites from clay sheets, carbon nanotubes, graphene oxide, nanoparticles, and other materials. Other approaches fabricating include vacuum-assisted filtration blade coating. They are simpler than LbL assembly, but they all introduce voids into structure, thereby reducing performance resulting nanocomposites. A team Beihang University evaluated void structure in Ti3C2Tx MXene composites found that fundamental problem with can be solved by sequential nanoscale bonding MXEne platelets sodium carboxymethyl cellulose combined covalent bridging borate ions, opening new path to self-assemble two-dimensional continuous high-performance

Multifunctional layered magnetic composites
A fabrication method of a multifunctional hybrid material is achieved by using the insoluble organic nacre matrix of the Haliotis laevigata shell infiltrated with gelatin as a confined reaction environment. Inside this organic scaffold magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) are synthesized. The amount of MNPs can be controlled through the synthesis protocol therefore mineral loadings starting from 15 w...
متن کاملSequential Learning of Layered Models from Video
A popular framework for the interpretation of image sequences is the layers or sprite model, see e.g. [1], [2]. Jojic and Frey [3] provide a generative probabilistic model framework for this task, but their algorithm is slow as it needs to search over discretized transformations (e.g. translations, or affines) for each layer simultaneously. Exact computation with this model scales exponentially...

© 2014 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim 7197 wileyonlinelibrary.com Circumstance-adaptive materials (CAMs) are those that can change their properties—mechanical, optical, electrical, magnetic, biological, and so on—to respond to their use or environment; [ 3–8 ] they represent a current challenge in materials science. Among the wide variety of possible CAMs, we focus on materials whos...

PURPOSE This study aimed to explore if initiation of biomimetic apatite nucleation can be used to enhance osteoblast response to biodegradable tissue regeneration composite membranes. MATERIALS AND METHODS Bioactive thermoplastic composites consisting of poly(ε-caprolactone/DL-lactide) and bioactive glass (BAG) were prepared at different stages of biomimetic calcium phosphate deposition by im...
